What do you go home to?
The past week has been pretty wonderful, Karl came to visit me for the week, which is always my favourite. There's always plenty of tea drinking, film watching and wandering about. It's the little things. The cherry on top of the week was a spur of the moment trip home and a few museum visits with my Mum. Above is from the Museum of Zoology in Cambridge.
A few bits I picked up on our adventures, an embroidered collar, a morticians lens and beaded purse. I'd been coveting the embellished purse for a long time, the shell colours are so pretty and I always think they are wonderful for keeping treasures safe.

From The Valley To The Stars.
Edun spring/summer 2012 campaign filmed and photographed by Ryan McGinley, see more here.
'Celebrating the sweet and fleeting state of youth, his photographs are suffused with color, light and energy...there’s a lightness and carelessness and beauty to McGinley’s images that is utterly addictive. They spark a sense of movement and vigor and joy that, in an inherently still medium such as photography, is notoriously hard to convey. He captures that moment that never was, the teenage experience you wish you had had. His work transports an idealized, weightless state of freedom, youth and innocence, unburdened by age, worries, gravity or even clothes, for that matter.'

Just Like Honey.
'What we have here is a dreamer. Someone completely out of touch with reality.'
Spring is getting ever so close and it's one of my favourite seasons, purely because it offers a chance to reinvent ourselves. Recently I've been getting inspiration from much more feminine sources, I read an interview between Katie Shillingford and Meadham Kirchoff discussing their spring/summer 2012 line. The excitement of the prospect of dressing for the sake of it is pretty wonderful.

Denise Nestor.
I really adore the illustrations by Denise Nestor; the colour, the animal features, they're just lovely.
Please take a look at more of her work here.

Bon Hiver.
'So you split, said you had to get out. Headed back to the south, where everything's gentler.
But I stayed for a couple weeks more, all the weather reports say there will be snow for sure.
But the storm moved away to a neighboring state, I started the car.'
